Week 11 and counting…
Now that we’re into the week before April I’m really getting spring fever. But not because spring is here… because the spring semester is almost over! A few more weeks of busting the brain and it will be done.. for a few weeks anyway. 🙂 But I can’t wait for a break. Pregnancy is the opposite of school mode. Relax mode versus hyper-drive mode. It’s an interesting duality to be stuck right in the middle of, especially here towards the end. I kept thinking things would start feeling downhill here at this point, but it’s not true at all. I’m bigger, more tired and have more work than ever!
The California trip was good. The flights coming and going were smooth and uneventful. Anaheim was fine too. A little cooler than I had been hoping for.. only 55-60 the four days I was there. Palms trees everywhere were really pretty. The workshops were very good. The safety people in the ACS circuit are always so nice and knowledgeable. And although it was really crowded with cheerleaders for some cheerleading conference, it was nice to have a lot of people around. That was really my only complaint, that I was a bit lonely for four days without kids pulling at my shirtsleeves 24/7. Well, the hotels are quite overpriced too. Being right next to the convention center and Disneyland, a $200 hotel room means only passable accomodations. Whereas in NC, $200 meant a pretty swanky stay.
Already heard back that I passed the CHO exam. Not sure what this will mean for work, but I’m happy to have the cert in my pocket. Never know…
Now I need to really focus on a writing assignment for IOOP – the writing portion of the latest coding project explaining all our coding changes. Oi. And lots of coding for next Tuesday’s XML. Need to get my inventory into transformable documentation and then demonstrate some transformations. Double oi. All this depends on the ability to not pass out on the couch 2 min after kids are in bed! But I have a hard time staying awake in the middle of the day right now, so it will take the strength of a thousand superheroes to keep me awake! ZZZzzzzzz…. Doh!
